Multi - Trench properties

Edit multiple Trenches

Objects that can be selected by filters: Consumers, Junctions, Trenches.

Figure 2. The Pricelist Window

Consumers can be filtered by:

  • All items,
  • Circuit: I, II, III, IV, V, VI,
  • Delivery group. Or added manually by picking them from the drawing. The window for editing multiple trenches allows to preview and modify several trenches simultaneously. Any changes made in this window will overwrite the properties of already inserted trench elements.

General data

Selecting a trend activates the window for multiple trench edition. alt text

In the window, there is a summary of settings for the selected trenches. To remove or add elements from the list use bin icon and “Add” button. Newly selected iteams will be added to existing list of elements The list of items might be mixed if previously elements were selected differently.

An example of copying data for one Trench:

  • Selecion of one value

  • selecting trench 3 as copy destination (click on it),

If the modification involves more than one trench, select the trenches names with the +Ctrl button.

  • General data
    • Delivery group – determination of the delivery order.
    • Pipe length to remove [m] – the amount of pipe that can be removed from the total length of the trench.
    • Pipe length [m] – calculated length of the pipe, value not editable.

Heating system

  • Pipes

    • Pipe type – pipes used for heating system:
      • Thermo,
      • Varia,
      • Vip Thermo.
    • Coincidence factor [-] – coefficients of irregularity of hot water consumption. The factor that reduces the amount of water flowing through the pipes, and in results, a reduction in the design diameter of the pipe.
    • Use Twin pipes – if checked, the plugin will search first for possible solutions using Twin pipes, then Single pipes. Option available after selection of Circulation system in this tab.
    • Use Quattro pipes – if checked, the plugin will search first for possible solutions using Quattro pipes, then Single pipes. Option available after selection of Heating, Domestic Water and Circulation system.\ If both boxes are checked the plugin will search first for possible solutions using Quattro pipes, then Twin pipes and then Single pipes. By default, software always selects single pipes.
  • Pipes dimension

    • Dimension selection – determine the way of diameter calculations from:
      • Calculated - the program determines the diameter of the pipe based on the entered data,
      • Manual.
    • Heating system - A list of pipes available for the given system and country.
  • Fittings

    • Ecoflex coupling
      • Q&E fittings – Q&E fittings will be used to create connections and connection points.
      • Wipex fittings – Wipex fittings will be used to create connections and connection points.
  • Heating system
A window presenting the obtained results for the system. The contents cannot be edited.

Domestic water system

  • Pipes

    • Pipe type – select the pipe type from the list:
      • Aqua,
      • Supra,
      • Vip Aqua.
    • Coincidence factor [-] – coefficients of irregularity of hot water consumption. The factor that reduces the amount of water flowing through the pipes, and in results, a reduction in the design diameter of the pipe.
    • Use Twin pipes – If the option is checked, the plugin will prioritize searching for possible solutions using Twin pipes before considering Single pipes. This option is available after selecting the Circulation system in this tab.
    • Use Quattro pipes – if checked, the plugin will prioritize searching for possible solutions using Quattro pipes before considering Single pipes. Option available after selection of Heating, Domestic Water and Circulation system. \ If both boxes are checked the plugin will search first for possible solutions using Quattro pipes, then Twin pipes and then Single pipes. By default, software always selects single pipes.
    • Dimension selection - determine the way of diameter calculations from:
      • Calculated - the program determines the diameter of the pipe based on the entered data,
      • Manual.
    • Domestic water system – A list of pipes available for the domestic water system and country.
    • Circulation water system – A list of pipes available for the circulation system and country.
  • Fittings

    • Use Q&E fittings – Q&E fittings will be used to create junction connections and connection points.
    • Use Wipex fittings – Wipex fittings will be used to create junction connections and connection points.
  • Domestic water system

A window presenting the obtained results for the Domestic water system. The contents cannot be edited.

  • Cicrulation water system

A window presenting the obtained results for the Circulation water system. The contents cannot be edited.

    Heat losses

The heat loss results for each section. From this window, only the value of soil cover is editable. alt text alt text

  • Heating system

    • Heat losses [W/m] - determined value of heat losses for Heating system.
    • Total heat losses HS [W] – calculated value of the total heat loss for circuit.
    • Calculated T supply A [°C] – supply temperature of water at the beginning of the pipe.
    • Calculated T return A [°C] - return temperature of water at the beginning of the pipe.
    • Calculated T supply B [°C] – supply temperature of water at the beginning of the pipe.
    • Calculated T return B [°C] – return temperature of water at the end of the pipe.
  • Domestic water system

    • Heat losses [W/m] - determined value of heat losses per meter for Domestic water system.
    • Total heat losses DWS [W] – calculated value of the total heat loss for circuit.
    • Calculated T A DWS [°C] – – supply temperature of water at the beginning of the pipe.
    • Calculated T B DWS [°C] – – supply temperature of water at the end of the pipe.
  • Circulation water system

    • Heat losses [W/m] - determined value of heat losses per meter for Circulation water system.
